Our Beliefs

We are followers of Jesus Christ who are saved by grace alone according to the mercy of God whom we acknowledge in the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are reconciled and at peace with God through no accomplishment of our own but only by being made right with God through Jesus Christ and growing in Christ through the Holy Spirit. We do not initiate God's love we respond to God's love.

Below is a summary of what members affirm as people are joined to our congregation.

  • Do you renounce all evil, and powers in the world which defy God's righteousness and love?
  • Do you renounce the ways of sin that separate you from the love of God?.
  • Do you turn to Jesus Christ and accept him as your Lord and Savior?
  • Will you be Christ's faithful disciple, obeying his Word and showing his love, to your life's end?
  • Will you be a faithful member of this congregation, share in its worship and ministry through your prayers and gifts, your study and service, and so fulfill your calling to be a disciple of Jesus Christ?

Thus to be a Christian involves a choice against evil and sin, a turning to Christ as Savior and Lord which means following Jesus and participating in a local congregation of followers of Jesus.
